Module / COMPANY UMBR AB
Built by people who lived the problem.
PowersportOS is built by Umbr AB, an independent Swedish software company. We don't have outside investors telling us to chase metrics that don't matter; we don't have a parent corporation pressuring us toward enterprise sales we're not ready for. We're focused on building something that actually solves powersport-specific problems for the people running powersport businesses.
Why we built this.
The team behind PowersportOS brings seven years of powersport-industry experience on top of nine years in the automotive aftermarket. Both sides of the same fitment-data problem, lived from inside the supply chain rather than studied from the outside.
On top of that: long-running hands-on experience with the e-commerce platforms our customers actually run. Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, all different generations of the same problem space, the same product-data and integration patterns that keep dealers up at night, the same gaps in how aftermarket-fitment is handled by general-purpose commerce tooling.
That combination is what made building PowersportOS feel possible. Fitment data in spreadsheets, product descriptions retyped from supplier PDFs, customers asking whether a part fits their submodel, stock numbers wrong in three places simultaneously: these aren't research-paper findings. They're the daily friction we've been working around for years. PowersportOS is the tooling we wanted to exist.
Why now.
Two trends came together: powersport e-commerce is no longer an experiment (it's where the customers are), and the underlying tools (Shopify, Hetzner, modern serverless infrastructure) have made it economically viable for a small independent team to ship a SaaS platform that previously would have required enterprise venture capital.
The aftermarket-data layer in adjacent industries (TecAlliance for cars, similar setups in marine) commands enterprise pricing because the underlying problem is hard. Powersport hasn't had its equivalent. We're building it.
What we're not.
We're not a marketplace. We don't take a cut of transactions; we don't disintermediate the relationship between brand and reseller. We're the infrastructure that makes that relationship work better. A Stripe/Shopify/Toast pattern, not an eBay/Etsy/Airbnb pattern.
We're not chasing every adjacent vertical. Powersport first, properly. Marine, agricultural, garden-equipment, and other YMM-style fitment markets are theoretically downstream (the data model already supports them) but spreading thin before dominating one is how everyone fails at both. We have the patience to do this in order.
Where we are.
Private beta with a small group of dealers, manufacturers, and distributors as of mid-2026. Platform is live, in production, and shipping multiple releases per week. Public launch follows once we have a handful of well-served customers and confidence in the operational rhythm.
